Router is never among the priority costs of Polish households. But if we want to have fast internet, it is a necessary expense. But do you really need to spend a lot of money on a router? Let’s take a look at what this looks like in the case of the relatively inexpensive Tenda RX9 Pro router.

The Tenda RX9 Pro is cheap and … looks cheap
Visually, the Tenda RX9 Pro is unlikely to bring anyone to their knees. The router unnecessarily presents itself as a gaming device, but this style will most likely find its supporters.
The body is made of medium quality plastic. There is a small LED on the front that indicates the operating status. Ports are traditionally located on the back panel.
A big plus is the ability to hang the router on the wall. There are special holes in the bottom.
Simple configuration via smartphone or computer
After connecting the router to the power supply and the Internet, all we need to do is go through the configuration. There are two ways – either go to the control panel’s website, or use the Tenda WiFi app.
In both cases, the installation is very easy. More advanced users can manually enter network settings such as IP address or DNS server addresses. Less advanced users can rely on automatically loaded settings.
Then it remains only to set a name and password for the network, if we do not want to use the standard and … use.
We will find a number of different options both in the mobile application and in the control panel. Blacklisting sites, parental controls, IPTV TV controls, virtual servers … More advanced users will find practically everything to manage a router.

Tenda RX9 Pro provides fast transfer and warm … feelings?
I must admit that I have not seen such a hot router for a long time. The temperature of the case can reach 60 degrees Celsius, and the inside is probably even warmer. This does not affect the operation of the router in any way, but it is better not to install it with flowers.
Tenda RX9 Pro offers fast Wi-Fi 6, as well as additional features that improve network coverage. For example, BSS coloring works this way, which reduces network malfunctions in adjacent channels. Something useful, especially in apartment blocks with many Wi-Fi networks around us.
I used the UPC 600/600 Mb / s link for testing. I rounded the average of the five measurements made in the MateBook X Pro 2021 and Pro Speedtest to full value and compared them to the speed of the main router in the UPC set. This is what a test apartment with an area of about 60 m2 looks like. The router is in the red dot.

The router can easily provide Internet in a medium-sized apartment using the available connection speed. As it takes up more space, the speed of the Internet decreases significantly. After leaving the apartment and walking to the end of the 30-meter corridor, the speed dropped below 100 Mb / s.
The Tenda RX9 Pro is a good budget router
The Tenda RX9 Pro will be a great choice for people looking for a budget solution that allows you to take advantage of your Internet connection. It will be an optimal choice for an apartment or a small house with an area of 60-70 meters.
Low prices are associated with certain restrictions. For example, a small number of available ports, a modest LED indicating overheating of the case or operating condition. However, these are things that do not affect the operation of the router. Its main task is to provide high-speed Internet access, and it deals with it very reliably, at a very reasonable price.
